Peer education is an important part of how UGA supports student learning both inside and beyond the classroom. Through the Office of Active Learning, undergraduate students can serve as Peer Tutors, Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs), and Peer Academic Coaches. These peer educators help students build knowledge, skills, and confidence while strengthening their own leadership and communication skills.

Together, these programs support a culture of active, collaborative learning at UGA and expand opportunities for students to learn with and from one another. UGA’s Peer Education programs are grounded in research-informed approaches to student learning. Find the Peer Educator role that’s right for you and learn how to get involved.

Be aware that all peer education services operate within Academic Honesty guidelines. For clarification regarding authorized assistance, contact the course instructor.

Our program and Peer Educators are accredited through the College Reading and Learning Association which recognizes effective approaches to student learning.
