One of the primary goals of the University of Georgia’s Active Learning Initiative is to engage students in both curricular and co-curricular educational settings to raise students’ awareness of the benefits of active learning, to expose them to the techniques, and to support their engagement and success as active learners inside and outside the classroom.
The instructor has incorporated active learning into his classroom from day one. We have completed a muddiest (and clearest!) point activity in class, and, on week two, we have already begun a group-based, student-led project… which makes the class more engaging and allows us the freedom and flexibility to choose where to focus our time and learn the best way to learn for us individually.

The instructor always goes through a lot of practice problems and always connects the class content to real world applications.

The instructor is so kind and cares about his students’ well being. He is genuinely happy to see us and has a bond with his students, instead of just being a professor.
